As you may have noticed, we live in a world very advanced. The obvious aspects that we believe our technology and living standards, even within the poorest we. Take a piece of technology, for example, really can break it down in a list of companies in niche components industry. Let's break this practice Blackberry Storm touch screen that I have here in my hand. Who is this company, Research In Motion? Are these devices from scratch? Not at all, but many parts manufactured in a multitude of companies and countries around the world.
I dare to assume that a company specializing in touch screen, the other in the case, another battery in another with the buttons, another on memory cards, and one on the motherboard, etc. This is not the end, however. Each of these parts can be divided as well. If we look at a motherboard, I'd say at least a dozen different companies were involved in making all the parts you see, and a separate company to collect all. Then there are all companies that produce raw materials such as glass, metal, plastic, etc, all these other companies use.
Another aspect to consider is that each of these levels, there is no competition. If this was not our entire system would collapse. Because of this contest, each party must do to be the most efficient, cost-effective and highest quality products, if this company to succeed. Amazing is not it?
This distribution can be made for each industry. Take a doctor, for example. Think about everything that comes into your office space. A whole industry is built around a medical education. It has its own staff, someone is responsible for the transcription medical, another California company that makes medical billing, other than the recovery of debts, not insurance claims, etc. Think of any industry dedicated to medicines and pharmaceutical products that allows the doctor to prescribe drugs to their patients.
Another example is the dump. Who makes the cans? Who gives these firms plastic and metal? Who is the driver of a garbage truck, the driver's seat and assembly of these charges mechanical arm?
The increasingly the technology we have, the niches are increasingly designed to streamline and refine and improve this technology.
